After completing his undergraduate studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Osei moved to Washington, DC and joined the Clark Construction Group, where he held various managerial positions throughout his tenure. As a Project Manager for Clark, he performed the following duties: led project teams, awarded and managed subcontractors, supervised construction projects, directed owner project status meetings, and maintained and built client relationships. While at Clark, Osei led or played a key role on teams that successfully completed a variety of projects, including: The Children’s Hospital Medical Center Cardiology Clinic ($4.5 million, 12,000 GSF interior fit-out), National Harbor Building E ($8 million, 40,000 GSF office building), The Waterview Condominiums ($80 million, 290 GSF high-end residential spaces).
In 2010, Osei moved to Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT), a Class A suburban office developer, where he serves as Construction Project Manager and Owner’s Representative, presiding over the construction and post-construction processes for a number of projects. His duties consist of: partnering with development managers to create budgets and proformas, bidding and awarding contracts to general contractors for the construction of new office buildings, managing the construction of said buildings and tenant fit-outs, overseeing major infrastructure improvements such as roads, sewer, waterlines, etc., and working with design consultants, as well as state and city officials, to facilitate a smooth process. While at COPT, Osei oversaw the construction of over 410,000 GSF of new Class A office space.
Osei earned a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Engineering from Drexel University, with a concentration in Finance. He also holds a Master's degree in Real Estate from Georgetown University, with concentrations in Development and Finance.
Lawrence Kim, Principal
Lawrence served two combat tours at the height of the Iraq War in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. His first tour of duty was from 2002-2003, during which time he planned and successfully executed numerous perilous missions. Throughout his second tour the following year, Lawrence was Chief Finance Officer, responsible for managing wartime contracts, acquisitions, budgets, and financing.
After safely returning to the United States, Lawrence worked as Head Business Analyst for various projects in support of multiple Department of Homeland Security presidential directives, which involved developing viable business plans, financial budgets, processes, and data models. In 2007, Lawrence moved to Clark Construction, where he managed the successful construction and turnover of the Hotel Palomar in Rosslyn, VA, a $30 million project, and provided financial/project management services for the construction of The John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, valued at over $700 million, in addition to involvement in numerous other projects over four years.
Lawrence holds Bachelor's degrees in International Business and Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Bloomington. He also earned a Master's degree in Real Estate, with a dual concentration in Finance and Development from Georgetown University.
